One of the things that I love to add to the mix of my life is dedicating time to work on committees that organize some really cool community events. Posting here has been light lately, as three of these events are in the home stretch of the planning stages. One of them is this Saturday!
Art in the Square (or AitS to us planning nerds) takes place this Saturday, 9/3, from 10am-7pm in Highland Square! And it’s free to the public!
I wrote about Art in the Square last year too, and this year’s festival is going to be even more over-the-top! So much so, that the heads of the planning committee were able to convince the city to close a small portion of West Market Street that day! Good thing because there is so much going on this year, we’re going to need the extra space.
There was a great article in the West Side Leader last week…to read the story, click here. The festival’s website is the greatest source of information, listing timeline and location info for the various bands, artists, performance troupes, contests, and workshops. You can hop on over and check it out by clicking here.
The whole family will love this festival! We hope to see you Saturday!!!
